Location and Facilities

Sportpferden Im Brook is located between Munster and Osnabruck in Ibbenbüren-Dörenthe right next to the south of the Teutoburg Forest, in the center of the German North-Western equine breeding of Westphalia, Oldenburg, and Hannover. The Netherlands are our European neighbours and trading partners at just 40 kilometers distance.

Top-flight tournament events are concentrated in the region. In a radius of below 50 kilometers are to be found the famous horse riding and combined driving championships of Riesenbeck, the “tournament of the winners” in Munster, the legendary international horse-riding events of Hagen a.t.W. (am Teutoburger Wald), the dressage tournaments of Ankum as well as the annual federal championships Warendorf and many other regional tournaments.

Daniel Ramseier has created a state-of-the-art equestrian facility in a uniquely beautiful environment. The buildings are built to be practical, light, spacious and sustainable. The yard contains top class facilities to keep our horses happy and healthy athletes.

The boxes are large sized, light and well ventilated with external windows and access to social contact. Plenty of sand and concrete paddocks and grass fields offer free movement for the horses in both summer and winter, again with access for social contact. Together with continuous access to roughage we aim for optimal welfare of our horses.

With two indoor arenas, three outdoor arenas, and indoor lunging circle, a landscape park with canter track and direct access to kilometers of horse routes through forest and fields there is plenty of opportunity to variate and optimize the training of a young horse to Grand Prix horse. The water treadmill and horse SPA makes it possible to safely enhance suppleness, muscle tone and strength for performance and reduce risk on injuries.
