Family history
In 1961, Doris and Alfred Ramseier founded today’s dressage and trade stable in Horgenberg at the lake of Zurich.
In the following years, a spacious riding farm came into being step by step. Alfred Ramseier traded in horses, and, having a great knowledge of highly qualified horses, he established an international customer base.
Doris Ramseier trained the dressage horses according to classical principles. In all categories, both on national and international tournaments, she presented the horses successfully and won silver and bronze in the world championships, two times silver in the European championships, and 15 Swiss championship medals.
Her son Daniel continues this tradition with even greater success. In 1984, as a highly talented young rider, he won the European championships, won Olympian silver, two times bronze in the world championships, two times silver in the European championships and 11 medals in the Swiss championships. Apart from his great talent as a rider, he is a distinguished connoisseur of horses who recognizes the potential of any horse. He sells and finds dressage horses for his customers worldwide. On the international level, he enjoys an extraordinarily good reputation as a trustworthy, competent horse specialist and trading partner. He stays in friendly regular contact with many of his loyal customers. At Olympic Games, world, European, and country championships, horses from our stable are placed successfully. In the third generation, Sonja Ramseier shows great interest in dressage sport and has already started successfully with the juniors. There, Sonja won the Swiss championships in 2011.
